A Vision of Barton Square
Barton Square:
Built during the 1870's, Barton Arcade is a structure of immense character, boasting a charming covered Arcade linking Deansgate to St Ann's Square.
The attractive, pedestrianised squares and walkways in this area, together with it's central position linking the prime office areas of the city to the retail district, ensures continuing appeal for retailers, shoppers and office occupiers.
Deansgate can best be described as Manchester's boulevard. Home not only to many large retailers, but also Manchester's tallest building, Deansgate is one of the busiest streets in the city.
As one of the few pedestrianised squares in the City centre, St Ann's Square has become a focal point for visitors. With its stunning mix of architectural styles, it is without doubt one of the City's most attractive locations, and one that hosts regular specialist markets promoted by Manchester City Council.
